Week 31: Catching Your Breath
Your baby is now about the size of a coconut.
Avg. Length: 41.1 cm
(Crown to Heel)
Your Baby This Week
Your baby is experiencing a major growth spurt, gaining weight and looking plumper every day! Their brain is processing more information, so keep talking to your bump. You'll likely notice more distinct patterns of when they're awake and active versus when they're snoozing.
Your Body This Week
Feeling a bit breathless? Your growing uterus fills a large part of your abdomen, making it harder to take a deep breath. This is totally normal! At your next check-up, your provider will likely measure your bump and check if the baby is head-down or in a breech position. There's still plenty of time for them to turn!
Tips for Your Partner
Your partner is likely feeling tired and uncomfortable. Help her de-stress with some soothing music or by sharing a relaxing hobby together. A little extra sleep can go a long way, so encourage her to rest. Your reassurance that everything she's feeling is normal is incredibly valuable right now.
