Week 15: Baby's bones and senses are developing fast
Your baby is now about the size of an apple.
Avg. Length: 10.1 cm
(Crown to Rump)
Your Baby This Week
Your baby's bones are growing quickly and will soon show up on ultrasound. Lanugo, eyebrows, and eyelashes are forming. Eyes respond to light, and your baby can hear your heartbeat.
Your Body This Week
You might notice round ligament pain on the sides of your bump, plus some itchy skin, remember to moisturize and wear loose clothes. Due to hormonal changes, gums may become more sensitive. The NHS recommend brushing your teeth with fluoride toothpaste and floss once a day during this time.
Tips for Your Partner
Get familiar with upcoming tests like the anatomy scan. Support your partner with healthy habits and practical comforts. If their gums are sensitive, a simple switch to a soft-bristle toothbrush can make a big difference. It's a great time to start talking to the baby together!
