Week 35: Baby Fills the Amniotic Sac
Your baby is now about the size of a honeydew melon.
Avg. Length: 46.2 cm
(Crown to Heel)
Your Baby This Week
Your baby now takes up almost all the space in the amniotic sac and is getting chubbier to stay warm after birth. Movements like stretches and rolls are still strong and regular, even in tight quarters.
Your Body This Week
You might notice sore ribs as your baby kicks. Some women also leak colostrum—a thick, early milk. This is a great time to consider starting maternity leave to rest and prepare.
Tips for Your Partner
Now's a great time to help pack the hospital bag. Include the birth plan, baby clothes, comfy labor wear, nightclothes, nursing bras, pads, snacks, and other essentials.
