Week 27: The Second Trimester Finale
Your baby is now about the size of a spaghetti squash.
Avg. Length: 36.6 cm
(Crown to Heel)
Your Baby This Week
Your baby is making big leaps! They can open its eyes and blink. They also have eyelashes. Baby is getting plumper each day as fat fills out their skin, and their organs continue maturing for life outside the womb.
Your Body This Week
You've reached the final week of the second trimester! As your baby grows, you might feel more bloated or constipated. This is totally normal. Try drinking plenty of water and eating high-fiber foods like whole grains, fruits, and veggies to help things move along.
Tips for Your Partner
This is a great week for connection. Try listening for the baby's heartbeat by placing an ear on her belly. You can also start bonding by talking and singing to your little one. Consider booking a maternity photo shoot to capture these beautiful moments together.
