Week 13: Hello, Second Trimester!
Your baby is now about the size of a lime.
Avg. Length: 7.4 cm
(Crown to Rump)
Your Baby This Week
Your baby is about 7.4cm long and their head is becoming more proportionate. Big news: bones are starting to harden, and tiny vocal cords are forming! They're moving around, maybe even sucking their thumb to practice for future feedings. Their ovaries or testes are now fully developed inside.
Your Body This Week
Welcome to the second trimester! Hopefully, the worst of your early symptoms are fading. You might spot a small baby bump as your uterus grows upward. Increased blood flow might boost your sex drive, so don't forget to drink plenty of water!
Tips for Your Partner
Help her find comfortable, breathable cotton bras to support her changing body. It might also be a great time to reconnect intimately. Just be mindful to avoid putting any pressure on her belly. Communication and gentleness are key.
